Vernon Jay "Irvin" Frazier
Of Davin, WV
Vernon Jay "Irvin" Frazier, 73, of Davin, departed this life on Sunday, March 30, 2014, from his residence after a long illness.
He was born on June 20, 1940 at Davin, the son of the late James E. and America Robertson Frazier.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Lillian Elkins, JoAnn Ward, Betty Manning, Eleanor Browning, Barbara Frazier, and Elizabeth Frazier.
Irvin was a disabled coal miner who previously worked for Amherst Coal Company. He was a member of the UMWA Local 5958.
Those left to cherish his memory are one brother, Rev. Jimmy (Joyce) Frazier of Davin; one sister, Donna Cooper of Davin; nine nephews; eight nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 6:00 – 9:00 PM Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 PM with the Rev. Johnny Hatfield officiating.
In honor of Irvin's request, his remains will be cremated.
