Rev. Earl David Campbell

Rev. Earl David Campbell, 67, of Accoville, went to Heaven and joined his Dad in rejoicing in sight of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center after an apparent heart attack.
He was born on June 17, 1948, at Earling, the son of Barbara Ann Jeffries Campbell of Accoville and the late Rev. Clarence Robert Campbell.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Mildred Jeffries and Dave and Biner Hart Campbell.
Earl David was the pastor of the Landville Freewill Baptist Church for the last 29 years. He was a coal miner for 25 years who retired from Amherst Coal Company and was a member of the UMWA local 5850. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and ginsenging. Earl David loved working for the Lord, his church family, and lending a helping hand to all in need. Devoted to his family, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. His compassion was unlimited, he loved people with an unwavering passion, he loved to laugh, he wasn't afraid to cry, he saw past your faults and spoke to your need. We thank God for his presence in our lives.
Those left to cherish his memory and miss him in addition to his mother, are his wife of 40 years, Betty McCormick Campbell; three children, Leigh Ann Campbell of Elkview, David Lee Campbell and his wife, Christy, of Accoville, and Ashley Campbell at home; two grandchildren, John David Campbell and Allison Casto; his siblings, Dale and Kathy Campbell of Dandridge, TN, Debbie and Clarence Freeman of Accoville, Rob and Brenda Campbell of Nitro, Kathy and Dale Morgan of Catlettsburg, KY, Andrew Campbell of Minnesota, Kim and Scott Glessner of Roanoke, VA, and Mary and Jeff Lester of Winfield; his mother-in-law, Jan McCormick of Accoville; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank "Hotrod" and Vicky McCormick of Accoville, Charlene and Calvin Necessary of Robinette, Linda and Phillip Leonard of Stark, FL, Nancy and Troy Lawson of Lavalette, and Danita and Norman Noel of Mallory; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
