Eva E. Bowden
of Man, WV
Eva E. Bowden, 81, of Man, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, September 12, 2015, from Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston after a short illness.
She was born on May 29, 1934, at Cyclone, the daughter of the late William Lusk and Oma Perry Lusk Workman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett Bowden; an infant son, Thomas Edward Bowden; one brother, Emery Lusk; three sisters, Gwen Toler, Violet Belcher, and Janice Grimmett; her step-father, French Workman; and two step-brothers, Marlon and Vincent Workman.
Eva was a home maker. She was a 1952 graduate of Oceana High School where she was a member of the cheerleading squad. A faithful Christian, she served the Lord for many years. Eva was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Those that remain to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Brenda Mullins of Man with whom she made her home, Linda (Mike) Jude of Columbus, OH, and Joan Bowden of Man; five grandchildren, Jason (Becky) Mullins, Eric (Missy) Mullins, Carla (Kurt) Berberich, Corinne Jude, and Anthony Jude; 10 great-grandchildren, Nick (Taylor) Carter, Neil Mullins, Gage, Caden, and Brody Mullins, Erik Matthew and Erika Mullins, and Elijah White, Ean and Isaiah Berberich; one great-great-grandchild, Eli Carter; one brother, Watson Lusk; and one sister, Frances (Stanley) Powers; and two step-sisters, Carolyn and Loni Mae Workman along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Clyde Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
