Obituary of Phyllis Sue Cunningham

Phyllis Sue Cunningham of Davin, WV Phyllis Sue Cunningham, 68, of Davin, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 28, 2015, at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 21, 1946, at Lyburn, a daughter of the late Beulah Frances Blair Tiller Staten. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one son, Leslie Earl Mullins; her step-father, Hi Staten; one brother, Jackie Lee Tiller; one sister, Delores Porter; one step-sister, Mary Duty; one step-brother, Hi Staten, Jr.; and several other step-brothers and step-sisters. Phyllis enjoyed collecting and playing with her baby dolls. She loved attending the Davin Baptist Church where she loved Rev. Johnny, Naomi, and Pauline. Those left to cherish her memory are her brother and sister-in-law with whom she lived for 41 years, Marion and Darlene Tiller of Davin; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at the Davin Baptist Church with Rev. Shaun Walker and Rev. Tommy Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Davin Baptist Church and one hour prior to services also. Pall bearers will be Boyce Tiller, Fred Tiller, Boyce "Shorty" Brown, Mitchell Powell, Eddie Brown, Aaron Brown, Adam Brown, and Jeremiah Beavers. Honorary pall bearers will be Richard Brown Joshua Porter, Wetzel Porter, and Joel Buza.
