Henry "Spud" Dale Glandon
of Neibert, WV
Henry "Spud" Dale Glandon, 46, of Neibert, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Spud gave his life to the Lord and will be rejoicing with his loved ones in Heaven.
He was born on September 18, 1968, at Logan, the son of Marie and Ozie Burgess and the late Clayton Glandon; maternal grandfather, Henry Goodman; and paternal grandparents, Dale and Belvie Glandon.
Spud attended Man High School. He was a fun loving individual with a "gifted" sense of humor and had a heart of gold. Spud's family and friends were his life and he loved them greatly. Many referred to Spud as a "big teddy bear with a huge heart" and he never met a stranger. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his loving grandmother, Lola Goodman; his fur baby, Bear Dog, which he loved dearly; sister, Danita (Tim) Hutchins, brother, Keenan (Crystal) Glandon; two step brothers, Edward and William Burgess; nieces and nephews, Kayla (Travis) Erwin, Scott Hutchins, Keenan Chad Glandon, Austin Glandon, Alyssa Glandon, Aliza Burgess, Nicholas Burgess, Haley Burgess, and William Burgess, Jr.; great nieces and nephews, Laelynn Erwin, Anthoney Erwin, and Abigale Erwin; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the Lyburn Free Will Baptist Church at Lyburn with Brother Jody Brown and Rev. Bill Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the church and one hour prior to services at the church also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
