Richard A. Ellis
of Robinette, WV
Richard A. Ellis, 61, of Robinette, went to his eternal home in heaven on Friday, August 15, 2015, leaving from Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on December 8, 1953, at Man, the son of the late Arland and Betty Lee Dotson Ellis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Ann Browning; and one son, Logan Key.
Richard was a coal miner formerly employed with Consol Coal Corp. He attended Faith Temple at Stollings. An avid outdoorsman, Richard was a die hard hunter. He also enjoyed working with wood. Richard was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life his wife, Sharon Kay Ellis of Robinette; two daughters, Tanya Montana (Spanky Brumfield) Ellis of Lorado and Tiffany Key (Jim) Morrison of Logan; two sons, Richard Shane Ellis of Man and Donald Ray (Regina) Key, Jr. of Logan; and six grandchildren, Harper Jayce Brumfield, Paige Ellis, Michael Ellis, Jessica Morrison, Johnny Morrison, and Jacob Key; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Roland Cook and Rev. Robert Gollihue officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services also.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
