Billy Eugene Clay, went to his Heavenly home on December 23, 2024 after a short illness. He was born on December 5, 1949 in West Hamlin, to the late Virlie and Herbert “Bill” Clay. Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Edith Lynn Clay; and one sister, Janie Grimmett. He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. A true outdoorsman Billy loved to spend time at his hunting camps in Ritchie and Greenbrier County. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed anything outdoors especially riding the trails in the side-by-side. He was a loyal and dedicated member of his AA group for 38 years. He adored his family and loved spending quality time with them. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Billy (Lynn) Clay II of Man, Terry (Christy Daniels) Clay; three grandchildren, Natasha (Nathan Williams) Copley and of Davin, Caleb Gilco of Gilman bottom, Alexis Daniels of Boone County; two great grandson, Elijah Copley and Grayson Gilco; and a host of other relatives and friends. A gathering of friends and Family will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on December 31st at Krantz McNeely Funeral Home at Man, Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Garden Mausoleum. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
