Obituary of Charles William Osborne

Charles William Osborne, 77, of Shady Spring, WV, formally of Three Forks, WV, departed this life on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his home after a 20-year battle with cancer.
Charles was born on July 15, 1947, at Three Forks to the late Roy Hayes Osborne and Atla Mae (Lusk) Osborne. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Kenny (Mary Ann), Eddie, and Ralph Osborne, two sisters, Edna Ruth (Harvey) Pierson and Shirley (George) Georgas, and a son-in-law, Joey Altizer.
Charles was a retired coal miner for Pittston Coal Company and was a member of the UMWA. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing. He was always a friendly face to see and to talk to. He was loved dearly and will be deeply missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 39 years, Nancy Osborne; five children, Michelle Altizer, Chuck (Samantha) Osborne, Melony Osborne, Nicole Goff (Dallas), and Cassandra Osborne; eleven grandchildren, Nicholas Osborne, Mikey Altizer, Tommy Osborne (PJ), Tyler Osborne, William Osborne (Haleigh), Brittany Osborne, Whitney (Cory) Vanover, Trevor Bailey (Amber), Hunter Lambert, Cain Hatfield and Maddox Hatfield. Eight great-grandchildren, Jaxson Osborne, Ethan Osborne, Hunter Osborne, Elijah Osborne, Cory Lee Vanover, Railey Vanover, Carly Vanover, and Zane Bailey, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Roland Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Daniels Cemetery at Curtis.
Pallbearers will be his sons, grandsons, and grandson-in-law.
