Obituary of Linda Kay Copley

Linda Kay (O'Neil) Copley of Davin, WV, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 3, 2024, at the age of seventy-nine years, four months, and three days. She was born in Slagle on July 31, 1945, to the late Harry O'Neil, Bradie Bailey O'Neil Roark, and Jack Roark. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warm spirit touched all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Ronald Copley. Four brothers, Harry O'Neil Jr., Carlos O'Neil, Sammy O'Neil, and Danny O'Neil; four sisters, Eloise Pennington, Betty Phillips, Doris Browning, and Nancy Roark. On December 18, 1961, Linda married Ronald Copley, the love of her life. Together, they nurtured a loving home for their four children, two sons and two daughters, who will forever cherish her memory and the values she instilled in them. Linda was a devoted and faithful member of Davin Baptist Church, where she actively participated in various church activities and supported her community. Her unwavering faith and commitment to her beliefs inspired everyone around her. Linda Kay Copley will be remembered for her loving nature, unwavering faith, and the joy she brought to the lives of those around her. Linda is survived by her two sons, James and Debbie Copley of Davin and Ronald Copley, Jr. of Oak Hill; two daughters, April and Kevin Sumner of Baltimore, OH, and Sheila McClure of Blair; five grandchildren, Paul David and Tara Vance of Kenna, Justin and Nakita Vance of Amherstdale, Erik Toler of Pikeville, KY, and Charles and Latasha Ellis and Jeremy and Maranda Ellis both of Columbus, OH; six great-grandchildren, Karly and Brett, Paul David III, Peyton, Noah, Wesson and Hudson; one great-great-granddaughter, Lainey; one brother, Donald and Donna O'Neil of PA; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, church family and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9th, 2024, at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home in Man. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Krantz McNeely Funeral Home, with Rev. Johnny Hatfield and Rev. Kenny Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, Linda's grandsons will be pallbearers.
