Obituary of Marvin Eugene Ellis
Please share a memory of Marvin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marvin Eugene Ellis, 61, of Landville, went home to be with his heavenly Father on November 25, 2024, from Logan Regional Medical Center after battling cancer.
He was born April 4, 1963, the son of Janice Ellis of Landville and the late Donnie Ellis.
Marvin is preceded in death by his dad, Donnie Ellis, his sister, Linda Johnson, his paternal grandparents, Dennis and Iva Ellis, and maternal grandparents, Paul and Myrtle Parsons. A nephew, Willard Ray Sanders. A brother-in-law, Kenny Toler. And a great-nephew, Gabe Johnson.
Marvin enjoyed spending all the time he could with his family. He loved watching all his great-nieces and nephews grow and learn. Summer was his favorite time of the year when he could sit on the back porch with his dog “Smokie.” He loved to spend time with his best friend since childhood, whom he often claimed as a brother Bub Walker.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Janice Ellis of Landville; his son, Jonathan Hager of Logan; his sisters, Jennifer Toler of Landville, Barbie and her husband Mike Chapman of Landville, and Ruth Ellis of Landville; his nephews, Michael Todd and his wife Cortnie Sanders of Crites, Donnie and his wife Whittney Ellis of Robinette, Brandon and his wife Ladonna Ellis of Greenville, Stephen and his wife Crystal Johnson of Man, Justin Johnson of Connecticut, Nick and his wife Crissy Weber of Crites, his niece Brittany and her husband Martin Morgan of Man, his granddaughter Raylyn Hager of Rossmore, great-granddaughter, Harlin Hager of Rossmore, Great Nephews, Hunter Todd, Devon, Eithen, Hunter Scott, Konner, Trey, Ezra, and Declan, all of Man; Great-neices, Jupiter, Haylee, Lexi, and Chloe all of Man, along with a host of other friends and family.
In honor of Marvin’s wishes, he was cremated, and the family will have services at a later date.
