Obituary of Shirley Georgas

Erma Mary “Shirley” Georgas of Logan, WV formerly of Three Forks, WV and Columbus, OH Erma Mary “Shirley” Georgas, 79, of Logan, formerly of Three Forks and Columbus, OH, departed this life on Saturday, August 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Logan Regional Medical Center, after a sudden illness. She was born on September 24, 1944, at Three Forks, the daughter of the late Roy and Atla (Lusk) Osborne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Georgas; three brothers, Kenny (Mary Ann) Osborne, Roy Eddie Osborne, and Ralph Osborne; and one sister, Edna Ruth (Harvey) Pierson. Shirley was a home maker, a good cook, and a wonderful wife. She was one of a kind and you could count on her to tell you the blunt truth. Shirley enjoyed playing board games especially Yahtzee with family and friends. During the holiday seasons, she loved being around family and friends and decorating for the season. Those left to cherish her memory include a brother, Charles (Nancy) Osborne of Shady Spring; sister-in-law, Genevieve Osborne of Lorado; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Kenny Bevins officiating. Burial will follow in Daniels Cemetery at Curtis.
