Obituary of Patricia Irene Belcher
Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patricia Irene “Cookie” Belcher, of Gilman Bottom, departed this life on Monday, December 25, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Cookie was born on January 17th, 1948, in Man. She was the daughter of the late Avery and Rushia (Davis) Haynes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her baby brother, Harold Lee Haynes, and her daughter, Tammy Irene Belcher.
Cookie was the pillar of love, joy, faith, and strength to her family, church, friends, and community. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and had faith that was unwavering. To know Cookie was to love Cookie; being known by her meant you were loved unconditionally. Her wish would be that those she has been a light to would keep the candle burning. Her legacy can be seen and felt through each and every person she had contact with. She loved her family fiercely, and she loved her Lord all the way home.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 57 years, Charles Paul Belcher Sr.; three children, Charles Belcher Jr. and his wife Sara of Oceana; Angel Mayo and her husband Greg, Sr., of Albany, Georgia; and Donna Renfrow and her husband Timmy of Albany, Georgia; 12 grandchildren Ashley Dawn (Johnny) Farley, Holly (Mikey) Vitruls, Emilee (Shane) Jenkins, Summer Belcher, Cammie Mayo, Greg Jr. (Heather) Mayo, Melissa (Chris) Rollyson, Jeremiah Williams, Tyler Renfrow, Tabitha (Canaan) Pike, Tamra Renfrow, Donavon Renfrow; 17 great-grandchildren, Johnny Lee, Adalyn, Beau, Cason, Rosie, Ella, Jaylen, Cameron, Lydia, Malachi, Jolie, Breanna, Avery, McKenna, Isaiah, Elijah, Eli; her sister, Margaret Ann, and Ralph Senters; along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30th, 2023, at Eagle Sanctuary at Christian.
A celebration of Life Ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Eagle Sanctuary following the visitation with Bishop Anthony Hudgins officiating. Interment will follow at the family’s private cemetery.
