Obituary of Frances Gail Wingler

Frances Gail Wingler of Mallory, WV Frances Gail Wingler, 73, of Mallory, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital at Huntington, after a long illness. She was born on February 11, 1950, at Taplin, the daughter of the late George and Virginia Wooten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt Gertrude Stevens; her siblings, Daril Wooten, Billy Wooten, Shirley Napier; and her son-in-law, Shawn Acord. Frances was a 1968 graduate of Man High School. She went on to be a loving mother and a wonderful home maker. In 1972 she married Freddy Wingler in Levlen, VA. They had a happy marriage for 51 years and were blessed with four children. Frances spent her time nurturing her home and all of the people in it. She enjoyed spending her time with her children and grandchildren, cooking, and making memories. People who were fortunate enough to know Frances adored her company. She was described as both caring and loving, and always made those around her feel welcome. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Freddy Wingler; four children, Jennifer Wingler and Allen Ables of Perryville, MD, Freddie and Christine Wingler of Greenvalley, Cathy Acord and Keith Stacy of Davin, and Amanda and Alvie Griffin of Mallory; her step-daughter, Lesha Kinder of Harts Creek; nine grandchildren, Timothy Bartram, Jayden Bartram, Seth Wingler, Allea Wingler, Bryson Wingler, Keona Acord, Parker Acord, Tiffani Wiley, and Tanner Griffin; two step-grandchildren, Kourtney Workman and Britney Messer; two great-grandchildren, Braylon Dotson and Beckem Wiley; her siblings, Deloris Schoolcraft, Mary and JR Blankenship, Phyllis Hatfield, Jack Wooten; a special family friend, Donna and Paul Hager; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2023, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be Tanner Griffin, Freddie Wingler, Timothy Bartram, Seth Wingler, Bryson Wingler, and Patrick Wiley.
