In Loving Memory of Amy Lynn Tomblin
(November 23, 1968 - July 6, 2023)
Amy Lynn Tomblin, beloved daughter, sister, and mother, passed away suddenly at her home on July 6, 2023. Born on November 23, 1968, Amy was the cherished daughter of Georgia Ruth Tomblin and the late Archie Harold Tomblin of South Man.
Amy leaves behind a legacy of love for her family. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Olivia Kathrine of Elkins, who was the greatest blessing in her life. Amy's spirit will forever live on through Olivia's strength and grace.
She is also survived by her sister, Kelly Tomblin (Steve Morgan) of El Paso, TX, and her brother, Zachary Tomblin (Brandy) of Angier, NC and ten special nieces and nephews: George, Isaac, Marie, Harrison, Matthew, Abigail, Elizabeth, Alex, Hannah and Elijah. Amy shared a special bond with her siblings, and their good memories together will be treasured. However, her heart was heavy with the loss of her brother, Kevin Tomblin, who preceded her in death.
Amy's love extended beyond her immediate family, appreciating countless friends and acquaintances and loving all animals. Her smile and compassionate nature will be deeply missed.
Amy received her nursing degree from West Virginia University, her masters of science from Central Connecticut State University/Brown University and her MD (High Honors) from Ross University School of Medicine. When she served as a nurse, nurse anesthetist and doctor, she had hopes of helping others.
A private family and friend service will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the Krantz McNeely Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. P.J. Tomblin officiating. In honor of Amy’s wishes her remains will be cremated after the services.
In this time of mourning, let us remember Amy for her vibrant spirit, her effort to fight life’s challenges and her love of all people. May God hold her in his knowing hand and may her soul find eternal peace. Her memory will forever live in our hearts.
