Obituary of William Alan Marich

William Alan Marich, 72, passed away on June 01, 2023 at Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, after a short illness.
He was born on December 13, 1950, in Logan, the son of the late William B. and Vesta Lorene (Spears) Marich.
In addition to his parents, Will was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ward and Stella (Cooper) Spears; paternal grandparents, Steve and Anne (Shravinsky) Marich; one sister, Betty Jo Davis; one brother, Steve R. Marich; one brother-in-law, Clarence Jude; and his black miniature schnauzer, Mac.
William was a disabled coal miner with 25 years of service in the mining industry. He was a member of the UMWA local 1751 and the National Rifle Association. Before his illness, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling. Will also enjoyed fast cars especially his Dodge Challenger he called “The Beast”. He loved to watch Westerns, black and white movies, wrestling, and listening to bluegrass music.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 45 years, Debra A. (Browning) Marich; two sisters, Stella Jude of Kistler and Diane (Ronald) Short of Combs Addition; a sister-in-law, Katherine Marich of Huntington; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
Graveside services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
