Obituary of Garnet Triplett
Please share a memory of Garnet to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Garnet L. Triplett, 91, of Kistler, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the residence of her daughter in Huntington, WV.
She was born on February 20, 1932 to Roy and Marvel (Marks) Scarberry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Triplett, three sisters Georgia McClain, Dorothy Dwyer, Clarice Goodson, and one brother Earl Scarberry.
Garnet was a member of the Becco United Baptist Church at Braeholm for many years and missed her church family very much when she was no longer able to attend church.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Marilyn (Tommy) Crosby of Kistler, Sherlyn Neblett of Huntington, and Eleanor Triplett of Stollings; one sister, Doris Jean Perry of Maryland; one brother, Russell (Virginia) Scarberry of Ohio; one sister-in-law, Glenna Wiley of Sistersville; four grandsons, Michael (Rebecca) Crosby of Robinette, Tommy “TJ” (Jenny) Crosby of Neibert, James “Jamie” (Iris) Miller of Mint Hill, NC, and Tyler (Haley) Dugan of Kenova; six great granddaughters, Grace (Josh) Honaker, Abbey Crosby, Sarah Crosby, Emily Crosby, Olivia Miller, and Averly Dugan and 2 great-grandsons Bobby and Seth Mitchell; along with special nieces and nephews.
At her request, a private family service will be held with her grandsons acting as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to: Becco United Baptist Church, P.O. Box 360, Amherstdale, WV 25607 or ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family would like to thank Jeff Prichard and Rachel Stover of Family Healthcare Clinic for their dedicated care throughout the years, Hospice of Huntington, who took excellent care of our mother during her last days, special neighbors Donald and Debbie Ellis for being there whenever we needed anything, and Pastor PJ Tomblin for his encouragement and service. Thanks so much to each of you for making our mother’s life better.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
