Obituary of Florence Elsie Belcher
Please share a memory of Florence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Florence Elsie (Vance) Belcher, 65, of Man, joined her husband in their Heavenly home on Sunday, March 26, 2023, leaving from her residence, after a long battle with heart disease.
She was born on November 4, 1957, at Logan, the daughter of the late Calvin Lonnie and Ardney (Browning) Vance.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Freddy Lan Belcher; one sister, Yvette Lester; and one brother, Steven Vance.
Flo worked at the Smoke House in Man for eight years and then worked for Druthers in Man for two years. After the birth of her son, Flo became a dedicated home maker and mother. She and her husband Freddy accepted Jesus as their personal Savior in the early 2000’s. From that time on she was a devoted Christian. As long as her health allowed, Flo faithfully attended Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church at Bruno. Flo loved Christmas. She enjoyed hosting cookouts with friends and family, playing horse shoes, and going out to eat. Flo will be deeply missed by all who love her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Matthew Belcher and his wife McKinzey of Man; one grandson, Rowan Kage Belcher, due to arrive July 31, 2023; two sisters, Yvonne (Vance) Belcher of Oceana and Dolly Lusk and her husband Sammie of Lorado; one brother, Johnny Vance and his wife Tina of Pineville; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church at Bruno.
A Celebration of Life and Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiley Goode Family Cemetery on Cabin Creek Rd, near Saulsville.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
