Obituary of Mary E. Osborne

Mary E. Osborne, 59, of Mineral City, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13, 2023, leaving her home after a short illness. She was born on April 9, 1963, at Man, the daughter of Martha Dempsey Osborne of Davin and the late Jackie Lee Vance. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her Stepfather, Rev. Benny Osborne; her grandparents, Essie and Millard Vance and Bertha and Coonie Dempsey; two brothers, Curtis Vance and Jackie Vance; a sister Susan Renae Copley; and two nephews, Russell “Bubby” Vance, and Jacob Sims. Mary was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She loved to crochet and work on crossword puzzles. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Henry Osborne; her mother, Martha Osborne of Davin; her siblings, Janice Rose of Davin, Essie and Rev. Robert Peyton of Cyclone, Russell Vance of Accoville; Rev. Nathan and Melissa Vance of Campus, Kelly and her husband Rev. Randy Lusk of Lorado, Lisa Vance of Cyclone, Allen and his wife Kim Osborne, Connie and her husband Michael Mills, and Freman Osborne, all of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023, at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church at Man, with Rev. Stephen Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Toler Cemetery at Toney Fork. Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023, at the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church at Man. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
