Obituary of Glen Gene (Moore) Gibson

Glen Gene (Moore) Gibson of Mallory, WV Glen Gene (Moore) Gibson, 70, of Mallory, went home to be with the Lord and reunite with his forever love Betty Jean (Wooten) Gibson on Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was born on April 2, 1952, at Cyclone, the son of the late William “Ed” and Thelma Effie (Gibson) Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (Wooten) Gibson; one son, Glen Michael “Dude” Gibson; granddaughter, Kara Lynn Mitchell; sister, Teresa Allen; and brother, Johnny Moore. Glen enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, going to church, and joking around. He loved talking to people, socializing, and traveling. Glen never met a stranger that he couldn’t talk to for half an hour. Those left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Kristi Gibson and her companion Mark Hall and Effie Mae Gibson, both of Mallory and Glenna Mitchell of Oceana; daughter-in-law, Kayla Gibson of Mallory; two sisters, Terry L. “Tiny” Collins of Bruno and Tamara Parton of SC; brother, William “Bud” Moore of Bruno; five grandsons, Kyle (Keasha) Dotson of Gilbert, Nick (Skyler) Dotson of Robinette, Kenneth Mitchell and Bradley Mitchell, both of Oceana, and Layne Gibson of Mallory; four grand-daughters, Chelsay Dotson, Lexie Brown, Alex Brown, and Layla Gibson, all of Mallory; 11 great-grandchildren, Braylon, Kyleawna, Kaisley, Koda, Brylie, Kylah, Ashton, Roman, Xavian, Kendyl, Emma; and one special Aunt Annamae Toler of Cooks Addition along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends he thought of as family. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Lehman Eldridge Jr. and Rev. Andrew Eldridge officiating. His remains will be cremated following the services.
