Obituary of Harless Anderson Cook, Jr.

Rev. Harless Anderson Cook Jr., 69, of Accoville, went to his eternal home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, leaving from CAMC General Division, after a sudden illness.
He was born on November 18, 1952 at Mullins, WV, the son of the late Harless Anderson Sr. and Jewell (Blevins) Cook.
Preceding him in death is one brother Timothy Ray Cook.
Rev. Cook spent 25 years pastoring and preaching the Gospel around the state with the Church of God and was a missionary in Germany. He reached many people by his love, kindness, and generosity. He spent the later part of his life counseling and guiding the children of Logan County helping them reach their potential which was his passion. Rev. Harless was a husband, Father, grandfather to many, leader in the community, and a man with integrity, loved and respected by all who knew him. It was an honor for him to have served his country as a Veteran in the US Army.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 51 years Claudia E. Cook; Two children, Jonathan M. Cook of Logan and Monetta M. Cheek and her husband Joseph of Accoville. Three Granddaughters; Brooklyn Cheek, Allyson Cheek, and Audia Cook. One brother Glenn Cook, and a host of other relatives, Church Family, School family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. November 4, 2022, at the Word of Life Church in Logan WV.
A celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Josh Vanhook officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill where Military graveside right will be conducted by VFW Post 6153, American Legion Post 103 of Chapmanville and DAV Post 39 of Harts.
