Obituary of Winfield Scott Cooper, Jr.

Winfield S Cooper Jr., 60, of Madison Creek suddenly passed away on September 30, 2022 at Logan Regional Medical Center due to a long battle with illnesses.
He was born March 27, 1962 in Logan County WV to the late Rosalie Bateman Cooper Toler and Winfield S Cooper Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard Cooper and Raymond Lee Cooper, two sisters, Lucille Frances (Walter) Marcum and Barbra Jean (Dewey) McCoy, his father-in-law William “Frank” Bailey and mother-in-law in law Margie Magdalene Chippent whom he loved dearly.
Winfield was a devoted husband, loved being outside and talking with his friends and family
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Connie Cooper of 37 years, two sons Justin (Shanda) Cooper of Madison Creek, Theodore (Brittany) Cooper of Buffalo Creek, One daughter Heather Cooper of Fort Gay, WV and Loran Skeens who was more of a son in law. 8 Grandkids Justin Dale, Sawyer, and Joesph of Madison Creek. Isaiah, Hunter, and McKinley of Buffalo Creek. Matthew and Amelia of Fort Gay. Four sisters Denise (Danny) Perry of Chapmanville, Florence Webb of Leesburg GA, Naomi McCoy of St. Albans and Gracie Laws of Madison Creek. One brother John (Juanita) Cooper of Madison Creek, one sister in law Rebecca Cooper of Rich Creek and Three talking buddies Larry Ellison, Paul “PA” Wells, and Rod Adkins whom visited him every day.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the Becco United Baptist Church.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Becco United Baptist Church with Rev. Derrick Miller officiating assisted by Rev. Bill Gibson. Burial will follow in Forrest Lawn.
Pall bearers will be Justin Cooper, Theo Cooper, Loran Skeens, Larry Ellison, Timmy Perry, Chris Browning, Rob Nester, Rod Adkins, Blain Vance, Michael Perry.
