Obituary of Edith G. Bryant

Edith G. Bryant of Davin, WV Edith G. Bryant, 83, of Davin, went to be with Jesus on Friday, September 16, 2022, leaving peacefully from her home at Davin, after a battle with Dementia. She was born on April 6, 1939, at Grundy, VA, the daughter of the late Dock and Molly (Looney) Slone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Linda Adkins, Mary Linville, and Vanessa Harless; one granddaughter, Aimee Bryant; and four grandsons, David Wyatt, Gregory Elkins, Guy Gibson, and Jonathan Wyatt. Edith was a wonderful Mother of nine children who she loved with all of her heart. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving, caring husband of almost 67 years, Guy Edward Bryant of Davin; her surviving children, Patricia Bryant Gibson and her fiancé Rufus Workman, James (Tammy) Bryant, Tony (Sherry) Bryant, Lisa Ellis, Debbie (Chuck) Barnett, and Kim Ellis; a special sister, Lydia Peoples; special sister-in-law, Opal Dingess; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one due to arrive on January 30, 2023 and another to arrive on October 30, 2022; and eight great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank everyone for your prayers, kind words and actions. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with her son Rev. Tony Bryant and Rev. Donald Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny. Pallbearers will be Daniel Barnett, Clark Bryant, Freddy Adkins, Michael Roark, Christopher Adkins, and Preston Adkins.
