Obituary of Orpha Lawana (Adkins) Hurley

ORPHA LAWANA (ADKINS ) HURLEY Orpha Lawana (Adkins) Hurley, 74. Of Mount Hope WV. Born January 15th 1948 in Logan. Passed away August 15th 2022 in Raleigh General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her Parents Johnie and Maxine Adkins of Threeforks, one infant brother Urklas Adkins. Also Preceding Her In Death is her Husband of 27 years George Hurley, and the Father of Her Two Son’s Eddie Osborne. Those Left to Keep Their Family Memories Are Her Son’s Johnny Roy and his wife Jenny Osborne of Man, and Adam Eddie and his wife Linda Osborne of Evans, along with Grandsons; Adam Dylan Osborne and Noah Ryker Osborne. Orpha Lawana was a Retired Nurse of ARH Hospital in Williamson WV. She loved to sing and was Lead singer in Several Christian Groups. Notably, The Osborne Family and The Christian Lights, which Participated in Many Singing Conventions in the Tri state area. She was a member of Carlisle Church of God of Carlisle WV. There will be a memorial service held August 28th at 2:00pm at Carlisle Church of God. Richard Allen will be officiating. Special Thank You to Her Caregiver Chris Garrison. Orpha Lawana’s ashes will later be placed beside her Father and Mother at Ranger WV May our Mother Rest in Peace
