Charles Edward Hopson (61) was born on January 14, 1961, in Man, West Virginia, at Man Appalachian Hospital. Charles graduated from Man High School and attended Marshall University. He was a proud member of the Marching Thunder band and he religiously followed them documenting via video their competition’s. He was a dedicated team member at Logan Regional Medical Center, which served as his 2nd family. He was known for creating seasonal decorations which was his love language.
Charles was a devoted Christian, and a faithful member of the Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, Man, West Virginia, and fellowshipped with the Original Glorious Church of God where he offered his gift of decorating.
He was proceeded in death by his mother: Geneva Hopson, Grand Parent’s; Joshua and Mel Lee Page, Great Aunt Laura Hopson (Rev. Moses Hopson). Charles departed this life on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. Charles leaves to cherish his memory: Aunt; Ruby Hollowell, (Columbus, Ohio) Uncle; Quindell Page, (Columbus, Ohio) special cousin’s; Kitty Holliman, (Mooresville, North Carolina), Felicia Rosser Julious, best friends; Carlos Barker, (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina) Bill “Winkle” Collins, (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina), Pauline Stokes (Huntington, West Virginia) special friends; Fannie Waller, (Man West Virginia), Gleandell Waller (Man, West Virginia) a host of loving relatives and friends, his church family, and the staff of Logan Regional Medical Center.
Family will receive friends at the, Monday, August 15, 2022 from 2:00 pm, until time of service. Celebration of life services will begin at 3:00 pm, Mt Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, 383 Evening Shade Lane, Amhurstdale, West Virginia, Rev. Ricky French officiating. Flowers and acknowledgements can be sent to the church.
