Please share a memory of Roman to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Roman Lee Crawford, 5, of Lorado, gained his heavenly wings on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, leaving his loving home after an extended illness. He was born at CAMC Women’s and Children’s hospital on March 27, 2017, the son of Jessee “Ryan” Lee and Rachel Michelle Crawford of Lorado. He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Buell E. Ellis, and his paternal grandfather Jessee W. Crawford. Roman was his Daddy’s buddy, his Mommy’s baby, and their brave little prince. He loved to be held and loved, making cuddles his favorite pastime. He enjoyed listening to Gospel music, going to church, talking to, taking Epsom salt baths, and sitting in the warm sun. Those left to cherish his beautiful memory aside from his parents are his loving siblings, Reagan and Camdyn Crawford of Lorado. A paternal grandmother, Marlene Crawford-Marcum of Holden; his Aunt Sarah “CiCi” and her husband Uncle Jon Sword of Elk Creek; Uncle Eddie and his wife Aunt Summer Ellis of Riley Camp; Aunt Marla Nelson of Combs Addition, and his Uncle Joseph Nelson of Huntington; His loving cousins, Braxton, Brody, Bentley, and Blayze Sword all of Elk Creek, and Brylee and Blakelyn Ellis of Riley Camp; and a special family friend Michelle and her husband Freddy (Big Red) Osborne of Robinette. We would like to thank Dr. Kathy Harvey, nurse Keisheia Matheny, and the rest of the staff at the Dignity Hospice House in Chapmanville for the exceptional care and compassion Roman received while under their care.
