Rosie Jane Thomas of Verner, WV Rosie Jane Thomas, 67, of Verner, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2022, leaving from Cabell-Huntington Hospital at Huntington, after a short illness. She was born on November 13, 1954, at Welch, the daughter of the late Clyde Elmer and Edith Marie (Grimmett) Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jane Thomas and Anna Marie Thomas Hayes; one brother, Baby Thomas; one sister-in-law, Annette Thomas; and one nephew, Christopher Wade Thomas. Rosie was a 1973 graduate of Gilbert High School. She was devoted to her family throughout her life helping wherever she was needed. Deeply loved Rosie will be forever missed. Those left to cherish her memory are four brothers, Eli (Annette) Thomas of Verner, Elmer “Fudge” (Linda) Thomas of Macksburg, OH, Wade (Pamela) Thomas of Verner, and John (Melissa) Thomas of Milton with whom she made her home for the last three years; grandkids, Eli Marvin “Bucky” (Tina) Thomas, Angela (Paul) Dials, Derick (Heather) Thomas, Eric Thomas, Elmer (K.C.) Thomas, Jason (Bridgett) Thomas, Sarah (Fred) Tiller, James Thomas and Keith Hatfield, Jeffrey (Ashley) Hayes, Benjamin (Olivia) Hayes, Anthony (Amy) Vaughn, Megan Thomas and her companion Jason; great-grandchildren, Ike Thomas, Rebecca Thomas, James Thomas, Samuel Thomas, Riley Thomas, Jaden Thomas, Caden Thomas, Vanessa Thomas, Chloe Thomas, Jason Tyler Thomas and his companion Ciera Peters, Caleb Jack Thomas, Jasonna Thomas, Katie (Mitchell) Powell, Alyssa Tiller and Crystal, Lauren (Larry) Browning, Shandia Tiller and her companion Ian, MaKenzie Tiller, Emily Tiller, Haley Vaughn, Maddox Vaughn, Cynthia Vaughn, Addison Short, Abbigail Short, Annabell Short, Matthew Jones, and Allison (Jared) Jones, Gabriel Hayes, and his brother Abel Hayes; great-great-grandchildren, Maia Browning, Carver Browning, Magnolia Browning, Brynix Browning, Joshua Powell, Jaycie Thomas, and Dean Hayes; brother-in-law, Barry Hayes; and one special friend who was like a sister to Rosie, Irma Hatfield of Milton; along with a host of other family. Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. Monday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the Verner Community Church at Verner with Rev. Jimmy Joe Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow in Dye Cemetery at Verner. If the electricity is not restored by Tuesday at Noon the funeral will be held at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Pall bearers will be family.
