Obituary of William Charles Files

William Charles Files Of Crown, WV William Charles "Charlie Boy" Files, 61, of Crown, departed this life on Friday, May 27, 2022, leaving from his residence, after a long illness. He was born on March 14, 1961, at Logan, the son of the late James William and Edna Mae (Yelder) Files. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Ann Files and Doris King; and one brother, Kenneth Robert Files. Charlie was a 1980 graduate of Man High School. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football, basketball, baseball, and paranormal shows. He loved to set on the porch with his fur baby Spot and anyone else who stopped by. Devoted to his family, Charlie loved to cook, talk to the grandbabies, nieces, and nephews, and spend quality time with everybody. Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life for the last 15 years, Angie Alisea New; nine children, Nicholas Osborne of Bruno, Tyler Grimmett of Wayne Co., Jonathan New of Accoville, Ruby (Ethan) Bryant of Boone Co., Gladys New of Man, Margaret Lovett and Sherry New, both of Belfry, KY, Scott New of Lexington, KY, and Shirley Acord of Kistler; 13 grandchildren; five sisters, Betty King of Oxnard, CA, Sharon (Bobby) Jones of Kistler, Teresa Hare of Crown, Stephanie Morgan of Norfolk, VA, and Jeanene Lester of Crown; two brothers, James (Maria) Files of Oxnard, CA and Eugene Files of NC; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2022, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Apostle Stephen S. Walls officiating. In honor of Charlie's wishes his remains will be cremated after the services.
