Obituary of Connie Sue Hatfield

Connie Sue Hatfield of Gilbert, WV Connie Sue Hatfield, 50, of Gilbert, departed this life peacefully, with her loving children by her side, on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital at Charleston. She was born on January 23, 1972, at Man, the daughter of late Elba and Lena (Trent) Hatfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary (Terry) Carter; and brothers, Elba Turley “Buddy Boy” Hatfield Jr., Carl Edward “Ernie” Hatfield, and Sam Hatfield. Connie loved the outdoors, family gatherings, and quality time with her children. She enjoyed Bible study and writing in her journals. Connie also enjoyed arts and crafts. Those left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Bradley Wicker of Gilbert; her children, shared with Julian “JB” (Kimberly) Hatfield of Horsepen, Jeremiah (Angel) Hatfield of Verner and Brittany (Keith) Yates of Beech Creek; grandchildren, Zack, Scarlett, and Elizabeth; sisters, Bonnie (Ronnie) Hatfield of Ragland, Celia Wiley of Williamson, Loretta Stover of Oceana, Stella (Kenny) Blankenship of Gilbert, Stephanie (Frank) Jackson of Browning Fork; her sister-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” Hatfield of Browning Fork; and brothers, Elvis Hatfield, Brian (Kimberly) Hatfield, and Randolph Hatfield, all of Browning Fork, and Malcolm (Tina) Hatfield of Beech Creek. Connie also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other dear loved ones, and friends. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man where the funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Den May officiating. In honor of Connie’s request her remains will be cremated following her service. “The Journey doesn’t end here.
