Mildred Mae Vernatter
of Robinette, WV
Mildred Mae Vernatter, 87, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 26, 2022, leaving from her earthly home at Robinette.
She was born on March 7, 1935, at Rockwood, TN, the daughter of the late Willis and Mattie Mae McGuire.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy “Trap” Vernatter; her daughter, Arlene Kilgore; her grand-daughter, Christian Kilgore, her great-grand-daughter, Sophia Collins; three sisters, Margaret, Mary, and Cora; and two brothers, John and Glen McGuire.
Mildred was a longtime faithful member of the Robinette Church of God where she loved worshiping the Lord and participating in the Ladies Aide. Loved by everyone, Mildred enjoyed her community often sitting on her porch with her fur baby Zebe and talking to the neighbors. Mildred loved laughing and helping others. One of her favorite things to do was spend time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Roy David Vernatter of Robinette; three daughters, Becky Jane Schultz and her husband Mark of Robinette, Pearl Short and her husband John of Mallory, and Lynn Clay and her husband Billy of Man; 1 son-in-law, Kenneth Kilgore; 9 grand-children, David Samson Vernatter, Whitney Wright and her husband Mike, Dottie Ferrell, Samantha Collins and her husband Davey, Natasha Copley and her boyfriend Nathan, Wilson “PJ” Ferrell, Zach Short and his wife Julianne, Andi Compton and her husband Tommy, and Angel Kilgore; great-grandchildren, David Christian, Colton, Connor, Dylan, Callie, Kevin, Elijah, Aurora, Waylon, and Hank; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
In lieu of flowers Mildred asked that you make a donation to your church.
In honor of Mildred’s wishes, her remains will be cremated after the visitation.
