Obituary of Brenda Joyce Ann Damron

Brenda Joyce Ann Damron of Accoville, WV Brenda Joyce Ann Damron, 78, of Accoville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2022, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center, after a short illness. She was born on November 28, 1943, at Accoville, the daughter of the late Printess and Dora Bell (Smith) Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marion Jimerson Damron; a stillborn baby; one grandson, Bentley Damron; three sisters, Elise Adkins, Betty Hearn, and Nora Mae Maynard; and four brothers, Rick Evans, Bill Evans, Jack Evans, and Wilson Evans. Brenda was a member of the support staff employed with the Logan County Board of Education for 28 years. During those years she worked for Man Junior High School and more recently at Buffalo Grade School. Brenda was a member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church for 59 years where she taught the Card class for several years. Brenda enjoyed life and loved being around her grandkids and great-grandkids. Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Marion Wilson Damron and his wife Tammy of Cooks Addition; Clara Bell Damron of Amherstdale, Bobby Lee Damron of Accoville; and Joyce Ann Harless and her husband David of Wyoming County; four grandchildren; Amber Morgan and her husband Josh of Martinsburg, Derek Damron and his wife Vanessa of Davin, Cody Damron and his wife, Jordan of Davin, and Andrew Damron of Wyoming County; eight great grandchildren; James Morgan, Kay Morgan, Kim Morgan, and Jake Morgan of Martinsburg, Brooklyn Damron, Fancy Browning, Andrew Browning, and Charlie Damon, all of Davin; one sister, Zona Lawrence of OH; two brothers, Landrum Evans and his wife Carol of Robinette and Jim Evans of Keystone; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Alan Bailey and Rev. Billy Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
