Yvonne Dean
of Kistler, WV
Yvonne Dean, 82, of Kistler, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 30, 2021, leaving from Logan Center, after a long illness.
She was born on July 2, 1939, at Kistler, the daughter of the late Christopher C. “C.C.” and Minnie (Browning) Sargent.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie Daniel Dean; her son, Billy Dean; her granddaughter, Brandi Nester; her sister, Sylvia Neece; and an infant brother, Donald William Sargent.
Yvonne was a 1956 graduate of Man High School. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Eddie Dean and they moved to Cleveland and started their family. In 1970 they moved back to the Man area and Yvonne began her career at the Bank of Man as a bank teller. She retired as a loan officer from the Bank of Man in 2012 after 46 years of service. When Yvonne was 13 years old she accepted the Lord as her Savior and became a Christian. She was baptized and took membership in the Kistler Freewill Baptist Church where she faithfully attended until her illness. She served her church in any capacity that was needed. Yvonne was a gentle soul with a sweet smile and a devotion to Christ Jesus and her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathy Dean of Kistler; two sons, Ricky Dean and his fiancé Carrie Thomas of Richmond, VA and David Dean and his wife Sherry of Estill Springs, TN; one sister, Phyllis Drehel of Middleport, OH; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Teria Evans; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Due to unforeseen health circumstances, the family has decided to cancel the public visitation and funeral services for Mrs. Dean. There will be a graveside service held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Roland Cook officiating.
