Wetzel Porter
of Davin, WV
Wetzel Porter, 89, of Davin, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 26, 2021, leaving peacefully from his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on May 4, 1932, in Kentucky, a son of the late John and Sarah (Bayus) Porter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Porter; one son, Roger; two brothers, Jimmy and Rudy Bayus; one sister, Sharon; and one great-grandson.
Wetzel loved the Lord and loved to go to church. He enjoyed going to the cabin and fishing. Wetzel loved to spend time with the kids and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are Richard and Sarah Brown with whom he made his home; his son, David and Elizabeth Porter of Mallory; his grandchildren, Sarah Porter and Josh (Trina) Porter, both of Mallory, Aaron (Keisha) Brown of Isaban, Adam (Auzya) Brown and Bobbie Brown, both of Davin; Eddie (Hannah) Brown of Ragland, Rebakah Murray of Charleston, Colton, Bernie, and Emily Brown of Davin, and Abby Porter and Sahana Porter, both of Mallory; 17 great-grandkids along with many more loved ones.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 6-9 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
