Obituary of Avis Coleen Sparks

Avis Coleen Sparks of Cyclone, WV Avis Coleen Sparks, 77, of Cyclone, entered into Heaven on Saturday, December 25, 2021, after fighting her battle on Earth. She was born on August 29, 1944, at Upper Glades, the daughter of the late Garland Eugene and Stella Laverne (Keener) Brady. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Sparks Justice; and brother, Frederick Brady. Avis served as the Pastor’s wife at Gilman Bottom House of Prayer for 25 years and has faithfully followed the Lord for many more years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mentor, and friend to all that knew her. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Rev. Donald W. Sparks; a daughter, Donna (Roy) White; a son, Donald “Donnie” Sparks II; three grandchildren, Ryan (Haley) White, Megan White, and Hannah Sparks; her siblings, Dallas (Tama) Brady, Carol (Richard) Wilson, Nathan Brady, Terry (Karen) Brady; and her beloved nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Michael Kell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 on Thursday at the funeral home also. Pall bearers will be Ryan White, Roy White, Allen Brown, Frenchie Lusk, Bill Mayhorn, and Kenny Justice.
