Obituary of Glen Michael Gibson

Glen Michael “Dude” Gibson of Mallory, WV Glen Michael “Dude” Gibson, 35, of Mallory, departed this life on Friday, November 12, 2021, leaving suddenly from Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 4, 1985, at Man, the son of Glen Gene Gibson of Mallory and the late Betty Jean (Wooten) Gibson. Dude was a 2004 graduate of Man High School. He had been employed with ResCare for three years. Before that he was employed with the Logan County Board of Education for more than five years. He enjoyed fishing, playing video games, playing his guitar and listening to music. Devoted to his family he loved to spend time with them and his friends. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of three years, Kayla Marie (Prince) Gibson; two children, Layla Brooke Gibson and Glen Layne Gibson; his dad, Glen Gene Gibson of Mallory; three sisters, Kristi Gibson and her partner Mark Hall of Mallory, Effie Gibson of Mallory, and Glenna Mitchell of Oceana; special friends that he considered brothers, Derrick Hendricks and his wife Jessica, Jason Gore and his wife Bethany, Timothy Doty, and Robbie Grimmette; and his nieces and nephews, Kenneth, Kara, and Bradley Michell, Kyle, Chelsay, and Nick Dotson, Elexus and Kaylea Brown; and several great-nieces and a great-nephew; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man where a funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home also. In honor of Dude's wishes his remains will be cremated after the visitation.
