Obituary of Jennifer Lee Gent Robertson

Jennifer Lee Gent Robertson of Huntington, WV formerly of the Man area Jennifer Lee “Jenny” Hicks, 44, of Huntington, formerly of the Man area, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 4, 2021, leaving from Cabell-Huntington Hospital, of complications of COVID-19. She was born on January 14, 1977, at Man, the daughter of the late Gregory Gent and Ida JoAnn (Simpkins) Gent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Robertson; her paternal grandparents, Cecil and Katherine Gent; her maternal grandparents, Cullen Leo and Virginia Simpkins. Jennifer was a 1995 graduate of Man High School. After graduation, she worked at various jobs including Wendy’s at the Rita Mall and as a Direct Support Provider at VOCA. Jennifer was an avid animal lover and enjoyed watching scary movies. Due to illnesses and distance, Jennifer was not often able to be physically present with her family. However, she always had her grandchildren and family on her mind. Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Zack Robertson and his wife Kirstin of Gilbert; three grandchildren, Morgan Brown, Nova Robertson, and Waylon Robertson; two aunts, Lynn Mills and her husband Larry of Accoville and Pamela Bare and her husband Johnny of Kistler; several cousins, Jason Mills, Timothy Mills, Jessica Forna, Noah Ellis, and Virginia Simpkins along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Lafferty officiating. In honor of Jennifer’s wishes her remains will be cremated following the services.
