Obituary of Carl David Burgess

Carl David Burgess of Lyburn, WV Carl David Burgess, 67, of Lyburn, departed this life on Sunday, October 31, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness. He was born on June 29, 1954, at Man, the son of the late Ermel and Georgia (Walls) Burgess. David enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going to Pigeon Forge, TN, and had a passion for building classic cars. Those left to cherish his memories are the love of his life for 34 years, Mary Burgess; his children, Lori (Vern) Toler of New Lebanon, OH, Kelly (Larry) Lawson of Sarahsville, OH, Veronica (Josh) Lusk of Lyburn, and David Burgess of Morgantown; siblings, Nancy DePiero of Pleasant City, OH, Drema (Ricky) Reed of Pleasant City, OH, and Ernie Burgess of Lyburn; eight grandchildren, Michael Toler, Brandon and Katie Griffiths of New Lebanon, OH, Katrina Lawson and her fiance Hunter and Brooklyn Lawson, all of Sarahsville, OH, Destiny, Alysa, and Paisley Justice of Lyburn; and a plethora of other family and friends who will miss him dearly. A private service will be held for the family at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. After services his remains will be cremated.
