Wilma Lee Miller
Of Lorado, WV
Wilma Lee Miller, 89, of Lorado, went home to be with her heavenly Father leaving peacefully from her earthly home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, following a long illness.
She was born on December 18, 1931, at Mud Fork, the daughter of the late Spicie Mayhorn Lusk and her step-father, the late Noah Lusk.
In addition to her mother and step-father, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Leo “Tommy” Miller, Sr.; two sons, Kevin Lee Miller (infant son) and Leo Miller Jr.; and one brother, Harold Hicks.
Wilma was a devoted Christian. She was a member and faithful servant of Bethel Tabernacle at Lorado where she served as bookkeeper and preformed many other duties in the church. Wilma loved cooking, reading, playing games on her Kindle, spending time with her family and reminiscing with her baby brother Larry.
We lost a very special loving mother, grandmother, and mother figure to many people. We are left with many good memories of a very kind and loving woman who will be missed by us all.
Those left to cherish her memory and life are three children, her oldest son, Keith Miller and his wife Christy of Lorado, her daughter Sheila Miller of Lorado, and her youngest son, James Miller and his wife Rebecca with whom she shared her home and who helped take care of her; one brother, Larry Lusk and his wife Judy of Lorado; two sisters, Wanda Thompson of Davin and Patricia Mayerhoffer of Valtelle, WI; her Uncle Bill Duty of Lincoln County who came to visit Wilma often; five grandchildren; two step-grandsons, five great-grandkids; and three step-great-grandkids; along with a host of church family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Raichelle Brunty, Bobbie Clay Hicks, and Melissa Barker Smith for always coming to help and visit with her.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Bobby Adkins and Rev. Pat Kinser officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers will family and friends.
