Anna Marie Butcher Adkins
of Amherstdale, WV
Anna “Ann” Marie Butcher Adkins, 73, of Amherstdale, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, leaving suddenly from Accoville.
She was born on February 27, 1948, at Saunders, the daughter of the late Elbert and Ethel (Peters) Sparks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Adkins; one grandson, Matthew Runyon; and several Aunts and Uncles.
Ann was a 1966 graduate of Man High School. She was as a Certified Nursing Assistant who spent most of her career in elder care. Ann was a kind person with a huge smile and a boisterous laugh that made everyone around her join in her laughter. She enjoyed fishing and 4-wheeling. Ann loved spending time with her grandbabies, great-grandbabies, and her fur baby Scooter.
She loved the Lord with all of her heart and loved to sing in church. She was a member of Crown Pentecostal Church for many years. Ann’s membership has now been transferred from Crown Pentecostal Church to Heaven.
Those left to cherish her memory are three children, Kimberly Frazier of Amherstdale, Kerry “Bud” Lesher and his wife Bridgette of Crooked Creek, and Stephanie Messer and her husband Todd of Kistler; her loving sisters, Wanda Carter of Kistler and Peggy Browning and her husband Gary of Clear Fork; 13 grandchildren, Zach Tomblin and his wife Gena of Dingess, Amber “Elizabeth” Jute of VA, Michele Womack of Monaville, James Lesher of Accoville, Tessa Lesher of Ethel, Jaelyn McClanahan, Walker McClanahan, Haylee Lesher, and Kaylee Lesher, all of Crooked Creek, Emily Lesher of Gaffney, SC, Erikka Browning and her husband Dillon and Jacob Messer, all of Kistler, and William Carpenter and his wife Ambria; great-grandchildren, Kinley, Ella, Ramona, Florence, Gracie, Alora, Anson, Jo, Delylah, Lindsay, Ben, and Joe; one aunt, Naomi Short of Mallory; her best friends and cousins, Larry and Ailene Peters of Oceana; many nieces, nephews, and cousins along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Farley officiating.
In honor of Ann’s wishes, after services her remains will be cremated.
