Hester Rene Bryant Kilgore
Davin, WV
Hester Rene Bryant Kilgore, 93, of Davin, went to her heavenly home on March 14, 2015 to walk those streets of gold.
She was born June 23, 1921, the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Ella Elizabeth Chapman Bryant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wilford Kilgore, her brothers and sisters-in-law Clyde Bryant, Fred (Molly) Bryant, Jack (Sylvia) Bryant, her sisters and brothers-in-law Annis (Floyde) Meade, Lucy(Paul Raymond) Short and granddaughter, Christian Kay Kilgore.
Hester was an active member of the Mallory Church of God until her health began to fail. She worked several places in the Man area over her lifetime - The Center, The Snack Shack and Burgess & Lohn Supermarket, where she made many lifelong friends both young and old.
She is survived by her children, Harry Kenneth (Arlene) Kilgore and Freda (Raymond) Napier; grandchildren, Angel Dawn Kilgore, Lisa (Glen) Garcia, Lewis (Barbara) Napier, Charlotte (Brian) Mosley, and special grandchildren Whitney and PJ Ferrell; great grandchildren, Kyle Mosley, Justin Napier, Jared Mosley and Nicholas Garcia; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Hester was a resident of the Logan Center Nursing Home. The family wishes to thank all the staff for the care and kindness she received during her stay, especially Libby who knew just how to get her going. She will be truly missed by her family and will be wanting and waiting for all to join her in her heavenly home.
In keeping with her wishes she was laid to rest on March 16, 2015 at Highland Memory Gardens with her family in attendance. The family thanks the staff of Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home for their service and care.
