Obituary of Violet Louise Morgan Jarrell

Violet Louise Morgan Jarrell of Green Valley, WV Violet Louise Morgan Jarrell, 70, of Green Valley, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the home of her sister Mary “Rose” Morgan Craddock, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 4, 1951, at Christian, the daughter of the late Pearl Standifur Morgan and the late Chester Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Linda Rose, Anna Johnson, and Teresa Toler; three brothers, Robert Franklin Morgan, Chester Morgan Jr., and Avery Charles Morgan; and special brothers-in-law, Robert Clyde Craddock, David Matthews, Gale Vernick, and Dickie Bartley; and a very special nephew, Steven Kyle Craddock. Violet was a 1970 graduate of Man High School. She attended and worked at SWVCC. Violet loved best being a wife and mother to all of the children in and around her neighborhood. When she was able, she attended Sunbeam Chapel and occasionally attended Man Church of the Nazarene with her sister Debbie. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, Gary Lee Jarrell of Green Valley; three sons, John Matthew Jarrell and his wife Tasha and Ronald Lee Jarrell, all of Green Valley, and Gary Patrick Jarrell and his companion Sophie of Peyona; one daughter, Morgan Danielle Jarrell of Davin; three sisters, Mary “Rosemary” Craddock of Henlawson, Ann Marie Vernick of Littleton, CO, Debra Marsh and her husband Garnet of Amherstdale; and one brother, Alfred Lee Morgan and his wife Trish of Pikeville, KY. Violet is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many close cousins and friends especially Sandy Duncan and Sharon Morgan Deskins and her husband Ronnie. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. James Fortune officiating. Burial will follow in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery located at 130 Academy Drive, Dunbar, WV 25064. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
