Obituary of Clifton Allan Tomblin

Clifton Tomblin of Lorado, WV Clifton Tomblin, 67, of Lorado, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 19, 2021, leaving from his earthly home, after a long illness. He was born on August 25, 1953, at Ethel, the son of the late Calvin and Racie (Baisden) Tomblin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Linda, Carl, and Calvin Jr. Clifton was a disabled coal miner with over 20 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he proudly served in the 82nd Airborne Rangers. While in the Army he married the love of his life Nyoka Daniels on March 16, 1973. The turning point of his life happened in October of 2001 when Clifton was saved. His walk with the Lord became the center of his life and he became a member of Becco United Baptist Church. On October 18, 2015, Clifton proudly accepted the call when he became a Deacon at Becco United Baptist Church. He loved his church and faithfully attended church, performed his Deacon duties, and loved the Lord with all of his heart. Devoted to his family, Clifton enjoyed fishing with his son Joshua, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Nyoka Tomblin; two sons, Clifton Tomblin Jr. and Joshua Tomblin and his wife Virginia, all of Lorado; two grandchildren, Alexis Tomblin and Joshua Tomblin Jr., both of Lorado; two sisters, Lillian Riley and Calvinia Lawrence; three brothers, Donald Tomblin, Billy Joe Tomblin, and Danny Tomblin; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends. There will be a celebration of life held at Becco United Baptist Church, on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. P.J. Tomblin officiating. In honor of Clifton’s wishes his remains have been cremated.
