Obituary of Earnest Lowell Grimmett

Earnest Lowell “Cal” Grimmett of Accoville, WV Earnest Lowell Grimmett II, 43, of Accoville, departed this life on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at CAMC-Memorial. He was born on March 24, 1978, at Man, the son of Earnest and Beverly (Walls) Grimmett of Accoville. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ross and Effie Grimmett and Claude and Ruth Walls; and a childhood friend, James Baisden. Earnest was one of a kind, always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. He loved to hunt, fish, and dig ginseng. Cal loved his family and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Earnest and Beverly Grimmett with whom he made his home; his sister, Vickie (David) Cantrell; his brother, Raymond (Renae) Grimmett; his nieces and nephews, Autumn (Tony) Colegrove, Kaytlynn (Cody) Rhodes, Tiffany (Jordon) Sabo, Courtney (Brantley) Cantrell, Brianna (Steven) Ward, Jessica Grimmett, Kaylee Grimmett, and Brayden Grimmett; great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler Rhodes, Rydleigh Colegrove, Lyric Sabo, Noah Sabo, Hoyt Colegrove, and Baby Ella Mae Ward due to arrive October 8, 2021; adopted nieces and nephews, Kelsie Brumfield and Austin and Jillian Riley along with a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Lundale Freewill Baptist Church at Lundale. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Lundale Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
