Obituary of Bobby G. Brown

Bobby G. Brown of Davin, WV Bobby G. Brown, 72, of Davin, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, departing from his residence, after an extended illness. He was born on February 18, 1949, at Vance’s Bottom, the son of the late Luther “Luke” Brown and Molly May (Vance) Brown Matz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Louis Matz; an infant sister, Elizabeth Brown; and a half-sister, Barbara Watson. Bobby met the love of his life Rose Browning in 1970 and they started their family. Bobby and Rose walked together through life like a hand in a glove. Their love for each other supplied security for their children and inspiration for those who knew them. Bobby made the most important decision of his life when he became a Christian in 1992. When he was able, he attended Davin Baptist Church. Bobby was a loving husband and a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, neighbor and friend. Those left to cherish his memory are his soul mate and wife, Rose Brown; four children, Roy Brown and his wife Emily, Crystal Dawn Brown, Jaden Patrick Brown, and Bobby Brayden Brown, all of Davin; three brothers, James “Tyke” Brown and his wife Kathy of Davin, Danny Brown and his wife Gail of Cyclone, and Gerald Dean Brown and his wife Kathy of Cleveland, OH; half brother, Jody Clay; three grandchildren, Tristan Smith and her husband Eric of Oceana, Skylair Rose Brown and Levi Tucker Brown, both of Davin; his Aunt, Lake Boswell of TN; special sisters-in-law Dreama Toler and her husband Rev. Baxter, Mary Bartram, and her husband Rev. Clifford, all of Greenville, and Teresa Paynter and her husband Richard of Cyclone; special brothers-in-law, Rev. Barry Browning and his wife Naiomi of Amherstdale, Rev. Chet Clay and his wife Lisa of Cyclone, David Clay and his wife of Man, and Terry Browning and his wife Nancy of Greenville; very special friends, Tommy McCoy, Popeye Lester, and Charles Belcher; and many nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Rodney Robinette and Rev. Johnny Hatfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p,m. Saturday at the funeral home also. In honor of Bobby’s wishes his remains will be cremated after the services.
