April Lee Lamb Paynter
of Bruno, WV
April Lee Lamb Paynter, 35, of Bruno, found peace without pain on Saturday, March 7, 2015, leaving this world suddenly from her home.
She was born on April 19, 1979, at Logan, the daughter of Debra Lynn Boggs Ellis of Chapmanville and Douglas Ray Lamb, Sr. of Whitesville.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Raymond and Vanchie Boggs; her paternal grandfather, Fred Lamb, Sr.; her step-father, Bernie Ellis; and many aunts and uncles.
She was a cook formerly employed with Cliffside Restaurant at Man. April was a 1997 graduate of Man High School. An associate member of the Buffalo Creek Volunteer Fire Department Number 1100, April helped with many fund raisers. She enjoyed reading, computer games, and fishing. Devoted to her family she loved spending time with them and was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, aunt, daughter-in-law, and sister-in-law.
Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, are her husband of 13 years, Shawn Paynter; one brother, Doug (Sherri) Lamb of Greenville; her neices that she loved as her own, Megan Lamb and her boyfriend, K.J. Grube, and Madison Lamb, all of Greenville; her step-mother, Terry Lamb of Whitesville; one step-brother, Drake of Whitesville; her cousins and best friends, Becki Ellis of Bruno and Samantha (Brian) Baisden of Madison; her paternal grandmother, Myrtle Lamb of Whitesville; her mother-in-law, Shirley "Bonnie" Paynter of Accoville; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Reatha and Danny Gibson, Reda and Randy Canterbury, Bobby Paynter, and Johnny and Debbie Paynter; a nephew and many other nieces; two special great-nieces, Kayleigh and Gabi Laxton; and her fur babies, Roxie, Cinnamon, and Gingy; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church at Bruno with Rev. Bill Cantrell and Rev. Tilly Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be members of the Buffalo Creek Volunteer Fire Department Number 1100, the Man Fire Department, and Logan County 200 Fire Department.
