Obituary of Dorsilene Viola Nichols

Dorsilene Viola Nichols Of Madison Creek, WV Dorsilene Viola Nichols, 78, of Madison Creek, went to her Heavenly home Thursday, February 11, 2021, leaving from Raleigh General Hospital at Beckley, after an extended illness. She was born on June 8, 1942, at Madison Creek, the daughter of the late Berthal and Flora Meeks Maynard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Dallas Gene Nichols; one daughter, Drema Gail Nichols; one brother, Milford Ray Maynard; two grandchildren, Charles Adkins and Jermia Barnett; one sister, Dorothy Ellis; two sons-in-law, Keith Mullins and Bryan Lambert. Dorsilene was a home maker. Her entire life always revolved around her family whom she loved very much. Those left to cherish her memory are 11 children, Troy (Rose) Nichols, Rhoda Brown, Dallas Henry (Sherry) Nichols, Vernon (Carolyn) Nichols, Kathy Mullins, Donna (Gerald) Wells, Rosemary Adkins, Mamie Lambert, Stephanie (Brian) Stewart, all of Lyburn, Renee (Ted) Sparks of Mallory, Angel (Michael) Goodman of Cyclone; 22 grandkids, 38 great-grandkids, 17 great-great-grandkids; and two sisters, Dorie (Jim) Blunt of Lyburn and Judy (Jesse) Kramer of NC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family would like to thank WV Dialysis of Logan, Dr. Faridi, Dr. Kanuri, Dr. Waris; and Logan Regional Medical Center for all of the care and compassion shown to our mother. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Evangelist William “Marvin” Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Nichols Cemetery at Madison Creek. Pallbearers will be Danny Ellis, Dalton Barnett, Brian Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Michael Goodman, and Justin Mullins.
