Carol Rose Burton Of Whitman, WV Carol Rose Burton, 70, of Whitman, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, leaving from her home at Whitman, after a long illness. She was born on May 30, 1950, at Elk Creek, the daughter of the late Clyde and Martha Elizabeth (Gillispie) McCoy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Alvin McCoy, Dewey McCoy, and Richard McCoy; and one sister, Virginia Sue McNeely. Before her retirement, Carol Rose was a sales associate at Murphey Mart, Ames, and Walmart. Until her mother passed in 2018, Carol Rose loved to spend time with her mother whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her sister Alice and the rest of her family. Carol Rose was a wonderful mother, sister, and aunt. Most of all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Angela Sue Ellis and her husband Jimmy of Madison Creek; two grandsons, Kody Ellis and Austin “AJ” Ellis, both of Madison Creek; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Workman of Omar and Alice Shawver of Whitman with whom Carol Rose made her home; four brothers, David McCoy and Paul McCoy and his wife Linda, all of Holden, Rick McCoy and Danny McCoy, both of Rita; and a host of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Isom officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
