Obituary of Raymond Lee Lovejoy

Raymond Lee Lovejoy of Christian, WV Raymond Lee Lovejoy, 82, of Christian, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at CAMC-Memorial Division, after a short illness. He was born on March 13, 1932, at Lorado, the son of the late Millard Scott and Ida Lovejoy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sybil Ann Lovejoy; one daughter, Linda Lou Lovejoy Doty; two daughters-in-law, Sue Ann Lovejoy and Charlotte Lovejoy; one brother, Ralph Lovejoy; and a great-granddaughter, Lexi Dawn Grimmette. Raymond was a retired coal mine electrician and a member of the UMWA. He was a member of the Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church at Man. Raymond was dedicated to his family, enjoyed reading, and working puzzle books. Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Raymond Johnny (Amy) Lovejoy of Marmet and Mark Steven Lovejoy and his fiance, Sharon Stafford, of Christian; his baby girl, Stephanie Sue (Shane) Kirkpatrick of Holden; a special cousin, Effie White of Crooked Creek; eight grandchildren, Renea Lovejoy, Amanda Doty, Roger Lee Doty, Mark Steven Lovejoy, Jr., Samantha Marie Patrick, David Lee Grimmette, Millard Scott Lovejoy, and Hanna Lynn Grimmette; and two great-grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will commence at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Tim Secrist officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
