Of Blair formerly of Man
Deidra Shawn Morgan Goodman, 50, of Blair, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 2, 2020, at CAMC-Memorial Division at Charleston, after a long illness.
She was born on October 18, 1970, at Man, the daughter of the late Gary “Soapy” and Patricia Lee “Patty” (Vance) Morgan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Stella Vance and Burness and Ernestina Morgan.
Deidra was a 1988 honor graduate of Man High School where she was a member the Flag Team. She also played MSA softball. Deidra was the manager of Pizza Hut for over 10 years. She enjoyed going to the beach, reading, camping, and fishing. Deidra was devoted to her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchild Konnar.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years, Frank Goodman of Blair; one son, Gary “Rooster” Morgan and his fiancé Kelli Melvin of Kinston, NC; two daughters, Alexandria Christian and her husband Tylere Christian of Blair and Candace Goodman of Blair; a very special grandson, Konnar Christian; one sister, Kimberly Morgan Western and her husband Eddie Western of Logan; one brother, Gary Michael Morgan and his fiance Vicki Phillips of Sanford, NC; two special nephews, Steven Morgan and Eric Tripp and many other nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020, at the Becco United Baptist Church at Amherstdale with Rev. P.J. Tomblin officiating.
Friends may gather one hour prior to services at the Becco United Baptist Church also.
Her remains have been cremated.
