Martha “Chub” Toler
Of Lyburn, WV
Martha “Chub” Toler, 56, of Lyburn, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, October 3, 2020, leaving from her home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on June 22, 1964, at Logan, the daughter of the late Fred and Martha Chambers Adkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt who helped raise her, Margie Chippent; two brothers, Wayne Adkins and Lonnie Chippent; and one sister, Beck Adkins.
Chub was a member of the Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed 4-wheeling in the mountains, picking berries, yard selling, and feeding bears. Devoted to her family, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Chub loved life, laughter, traveling to the beach, and holidays. She will be deeply missed by those who love her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 31 years, J.R. Toler; two children, Jenny Crosby and her husband T.J. Crosby and Chris Toler and his wife Shawna Toler all of Lyburn; four grandchildren, Grace Crosby and Abbey Crosby and Brentin Toler and Greyson Toler, all of Lyburn; five brothers, Tom Adkins, Rush Adkins, Pete Adkins, Billy Joe Adkins, and Frankie Chippent; nine sisters, Linda Perry, Ada Perry, Pat Depta, Peg Beavers, Boney Hoosier, Connie Cooper, Debbie Chippent, Lynn Vance, and Lisa Chippent; special friends and in-laws, Paula Ghent, Brenda Strunk, and Mike and Kristi Toler; and many nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church at Lyburn.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at the Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Jody Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be J.R. Toler, Chris Toler, T.J. Crosby, Mike Toler, Johnny Ghent, and Rupert Smith.
