Ardith Lynn Hatfield
Of Madison Creek, WV
Ardith Lynn Hatfield, 61, of Madison Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 13, 2020, leaving from St. Mary’s Medical Center at Huntington, after a long illness.
She was born on December 2, 1958, at West Hamlin, a daughter of the late Rev. Bobby Gene and Geneva Marie Brown Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Danny Edward Hatfield, Jr., one grand-daughter, Faithlynn Grace Elkins; two brothers, Bobby Gene Smith, Jr. and Rodney Lee Smith.
Ardith worked as a care giver for Pride Community Services. She was also a home maker who loved singing to her grand-daughter, Sadie Grace and working in her flower garden.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 42½ years, Danny Edward Hatfield; two sons, Michael David Hatfield of Madison Creek and Brian Edward Hatfield of Lyburn; one daughter, Danielle Nichole Hatfield and Darrell Elkins of Lyburn; one precious grand-daughter, Sadie Grace Elkins that Ardith called “Sunshine Girl” of Lyburn; six sisters, Shelia (Bill) Chandler of Christian, Rachel Arnold of Columbus, GA, Beverly (Angus) Mullins of Walton, Patricia (Harold) Spence of Madison Creek, Donna (Joey) Maynard of Taplin, and Joyce (Donzel) Grimmett of Green Valley; three brothers, David Smith and Timmy Smith, both of Madison Creek, and Erwin (Kimberly) Smith of Monaville; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church at Madison Creek and one hour prior to services at the church also.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Arbie Adkins and Rev. Eddie Isom officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery at Madison Creek.
Pall bearers will be Angus Mullins, Donzel Grimmett, Jennings Smith, and other family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
